94.  And if thou (O Muhammad) art in doubt concerning that which We have revealed unto thee, then question those who read the Scripture (that was) before thee. Verily the Truth from thy Lord hath come unto thee; so be not thou of the waverers-

95.  And be not thou of those who deny the Revelations of Allah, for then thou will be of the losers.

Commentary

The human being should make his faith strong and remove own doubts which are in the heart. Its method is that he should ask from those who know; and continue his effort of asking until his faith does not become strong; that yes! This manner is correct; which I wish to learn.

Aim of this verse is to cause to learn that one should ask from the knowers and skilled persons in the matter in which one desires to inquire fully. Regarding the religion, those people who have read in the previous Books; circumstances of the Scriptures of Allah Almighty and stories of Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them), from them, the Believers can describe that Allah Almighty has sent Messengers (peace be upon them) before this time and they caused to draw attention of the people unto the Revelations of Allah Almighty.

The individual who leaves so much big matter considering it ordinary, and does not try to believe in the last Messenger (grace, glory, blessing and peace be upon Him) and Holy Qur’an by asking from those who know, he is careless from the duty of humanity. It is duty of every mankind that they should acquire knowledge, and with the help of knowledge they should produce themselves Belief in Holy Qur’an.

Those people who consider that the Revelations of Allah Almighty are useless; they will be losers in the world and in the Hereafter. Sometimes the science is taught wrong also and the people have faith in it, but actual science is that by which the belief in the Revelations of Allah Almighty is acquired.

Commentary

It is commanded: We ruined Pharaoh; together with his Army and the way was opened on the Children of Israel; that they might dwell; wherever they wished and take good things of that place. Torah was given to them in which those all matters were discussed; to which they would have to follow and cause to run the world. As soon as these people were set free, became obstinate. They put Torah behind their back and gave up hearing the instructions of their Prophets (peace be upon them).

All doors were opened for them as soon as Pharaoh was destroyed. They were able to take Egypt in possession; if they wished, but they were commanded that they should populate Palestine and spread the light of knowledge and intellectual development of the people. Syria was under the possession of Amaalqah. The Children of Israel feared from them and denied from Jihad (crusade). They wandered in desert and jungle for forty years. Meanwhile, at first Prophet Aaron (peace be upon him) departed and then Prophet Moses (peace be upon him). And those who denied from Jihad, died also. Then their descendents conquered the country Syria under leadership of Prophet Yusha’ (peace be upon him) and there very powerful kings were born from them.

But the Children of Israel adopted the same way of insurrection; which was adopted by their ancestors. Commandments of Torah were changed, they had been divided into many classes and fault finding began among themselves. Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) came to reprove them with mildness but they disobeyed Him (peace be upon him). It is commanded: Thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ.

Commentary

Rebellious human being does not accept exhortation of any person. Here, the story of a Pharaoh is being narrated but in the world, you will observe the same everywhere. The people like Pharaoh and his supporters have been trying to rule the entire world, and who comes in their way, they become ready to fight and defeat him. When any other powerful person overcomes and they become helpless then they lose their sense. When they feel that they have been dying then they say: We accept, forgive us. But their previous wicked deeds do not permit that they should be forgiven.

It is commanded that when Allah Almighty seized Pharaoh and he was near to die, then he said: I believe that only Allah is Omnipotent. The Children of Israel were right and I was wrong. At that time, it was told to him: If you had performed any good during your kingship, then pity was your right. Whereas, you gripped up your loins to disobey and did nothing but oppression and violence in the world. Now having pity on you is like ensnaring others in hardship.

But because you have declared with your tongue that you are obedient, therefore after drowning your body will be saved from water and it will be thrown on the bank of the sea, so that the people may see you lying helpless and understand that none has any power against Allah Almighty. Therefore, every human being should be only His obedient. Your body will also be a portent of Our Omnipotence in the world.

Destruction of Pharaoh

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

90.  And We brought the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh with his hosts pursued them in rebellion and transgression, till, when the (fate of) drowning overtook him, he exclaimed: I believe that there is no God save Him in Whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of those who surrender (unto Him).
90.  Wa  jaa-waz-Naa  bi-Baniii  ‘Is-raaa-‘iilal-bahra  fa-‘atba-‘ahum  Fir-‘awnu  wa  junuu-duhuu  bag-yanw-wa  ‘ad-waa.  Hattaaa  ‘izaaa  ‘adra-kahul-garaqu, qaala  ‘aa-mantu  ‘anna-Huu  laaa  ‘ilaa-ha  ‘il-lalla-Ziii  ‘aa-manat  biHii  Banuuu-  ‘Israa-‘iila  wa  ‘ana  minal-Musli-miin.

Commentary

Jaa-waz-Naa – {We brought (them) across), it is past tense from the word mujaa-wa-zatun which has been derived from jawz. Some more words like jawaaztajwiiz and tajaawaz etc. have come out from the same; which are used usually in Urdu language. It means to pass, to go forth, to cross and go on the other bank.

One night, Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) was instructed by Allah Almighty: Go out from this city along with the Children of Israel in the middle of this night. The Children of Israel were going away that they saw a river in the way. Meanwhile they heard news that Pharaoh with his Army has been coming behind them. They confused very much that they had been surrounded very badly.

Then Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) was commanded: Strike your stick on the river. As soon as He (peace be upon Him) obeyed God’s command, the water of the river was cracked and they saw the bottom dried. Along with the Children of Israel, Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) got down and crossed the river.

When Pharaoh arrived at the bank of river, he observed that there were many ways ready to cross the river, then he also; along with his Army; got down in the river. When they entered in the river; the water, which was standing like walls, was resembled. When Pharaoh began to drown; he exclaimed: I believe in God Who is God of the Children of Israel, and now; I am of those who surrender unto Him. It happens often with rebels and transgressors that they do not attend to any person; till the time they are intoxicated with their wealth and property, but when they begin to be ruined; then they believe that perhaps; by the fortune of Belief; they are saved, but at such time; their Belief is not useful.

Evil days - Quran Chapter 10 – 88b & 89 (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L-1361) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 10  88b & 89 (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L-1361) - درس قرآن

Evil days

Surah Yuunus (Jonah) - 10

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

Friends of God Almighty do not concern themselves with any other than Allah, The Most high. They have neither friendship nor enmity with any of the creatures, but their hearts are so much clean, transparent and pure that as soon as the Knowledge of Allah Almighty puts its reflection on them, they begin to shine, by which they know that “what should they do”. Allah Honored and Glorified, has established a rule that the disobedient will be punished. For the punishment, the Day of Resurrection is fixed. But at times, vicious people are destroyed for purifying the world, so that they may neither tease the righteous people and nor mislead the public. For it, some catastrophic accidents happen; because in the world; different forces come into collision with one another. Those accidents ravage them.

Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) had known through His internal Light that Pharaoh has come under an unlucky star and he would never believe. Moreover, he and his supporters would be ruined very soon. God’s obedient people will get deliverance from his oppression and set free in the world, so that they may show their earnestness in obedience of Allah Almighty by own will. For this purpose; they prayed also; so that the obedient of Allah Almighty should be free and try for their well being.

In this curse, personal enmity or obstinacy have no access. Desire of human welfare, which Allah Almighty has put in the hearts of His accepted servants, excites them to pray unhesitatingly at suitable occasions. Accidents happen in the world and these are result of knocking of many forces together. Their causes use to assemble and when they are complete then Allah Almighty commands: accident should appear. What are these causes? Some of them have been known by the mankind, but some are those, about which human being is doubtful that “are those really causes”? He does not understand that his misdeeds may also be cause of appearance of some catastrophic accidents in the world. Allah Almighty has informed to His Messengers (peace be upon them) through Revelations that immoralities of the human beings also interfere in producing catastrophic accidents.

Usually those people are entangled in these accidents who already deserve punishment due to their wrongdoing. The people whose deeds are good, Allah Almighty saves them often from the calamities in retribution of their good deeds. When the time for Pharaoh’s ruin including his companions reached, then its form was that the Children of Israel were caused to cross the river by drying it, whereas when Pharaoh saw that the river was dry and he entered into it, then suddenly the water level of the river arose more than earlier and Pharaoh including his companions were drowned.
