Creator of everything is Allah - Quran Chapter 6 – 1 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-769) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 6 – 1 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-769) - درس قرآن

Creator of everything is Allah

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

1.  Praise be to Allah, Who hath created the heavens and the earth, and hath appointed darkness and light. Yet those who disbelieve ascribe rivals unto their Lord.
1.  ‘Alhamdu  LIllaahillazii  khala-qas-Samaawaati  wal-‘arza  wa  ja-‘alaz-zulumaati  wan-Nuur.  Summal-laziina  kafaruu  bi-Rabbihim  ya’-diluun.

Commentary

‘As-Samaawaat – (the skies, the heavens), it is plural of Samaaa’. The thing, which is above from our head, is called Samaaa’, and since there are many things above from our heads, which are visible, when we see up, so, the plural tense has been used for all.

‘Az-zulumaat – it is plural of zulmat, which means ‘the darkness’ – either darkness of the night or day or both.

‘An-Nuur – (the light), it aims ‘the day time’. Those all things have been included in the darkness and the light besides the night and the day, which are opposite to each other, for example: Bad and good, ignorance and knowledge, depravity and guidance etc.

Ya’-diluun – it is from ‘Adal. ‘Adal means equality and rivalry, to assimilate or settle two things mutually themselves.

That actual matter has been described excellently in this verse, which Islam desires to teach the human being. That is to say; the Creator of the entire world and its all things, is only One, Allah Almighty, because He is the Person, Who has complete Divine Power, all the virtues and excellence. Other than Him, you can observe and find one or the other fault even anyone else, and that will be needy of any other for existence.

It is commanded that the heavens and the earth were created by Allah Almighty. Those entire creatures have come in these both things, which are found among them i.e. He is the Creator of all those creatures also. After that, He appointed some of those things good and useful, and some harmful and bad. As though, He desires to cause the mankind to understand that all the things including mankind are equal in terms of birth. Nothing is wrong with them.

Then, after that, Allah Almighty appointed some things/creatures good and useful for the other some creatures, and some things harmful and bad for the some other people/creatures and vice versa. The fire-worshippers have also been abrogated as well as the idolaters from it because the good and the bad have no interference/ connection in the birth.

After that, it has been described that the entire world is witness that there is none its Creator except Allah Almighty. Even then the disbelievers ascribe other things as partners and rivals of Allah Almighty.

Summary of Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) - Quran Chapter 6 – Intro (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-768) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 6 – Intro (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-768) - درس قرآن

Summary of Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle)

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

‘An-‘aam is plural of Na-‘am. Na-‘am means an animal. Allah Almighty has made the animals and the cattle, servants of the mankind, but some people make some of them unlawful at their own. This Chapter explains about those cattle and animals. In this connection, the word ‘An-‘aam has been used many times in this chapter, so this Surah was named as Suratul-‘An-‘aam.

This Chapter was revealed at a time completely in Makkah except a few verses, which were revealed probably in Madinah. The time of its revelation is one year Before Hijrah and actually its teachings are about the Oneness of God Almighty and rejection of all false fancies, in which more than One God are believed in, and the people bow before other things respectfully except Allah Almighty and worship them, and have faith into them such qualities and virtues, which are specified only for Allah Almighty.

Before the revelation of Holy Qur’aan in the world, no anything would have been left possibly, which was not worshipped. It was common to make partners of Allah Almighty by including others and believing His excellence and virtues into them also. The Fire-worshippers and Magi used to say: The God, who created good things of the world, is another person, and who created bad things, is someone else. They used to say the good things as ‘the Dawn” i.e. Noor (Light), but the bad things were called by them “the Darkness” i.e. Zulmat. They were convinced of these two gods. The Indians used to believe in three hundred and thirty million demi-gods. Every demi-god was appointed for any separate function. The Arian society strived and decreased them, but even then, they fixed ‘the matter and the soul’ eternal, immortal like God, and firm and non-creature. The Idolaters of the Arab used to believe that the trees and stones etc. were partners and helpers also in the Divinity of Allah Almighty.

The Jews determined the virtues of Allah Almighty so much common that everyone can be either equal to Him, or superior to Him. Besides this, they worshipped the calf. The Christians fixed the father, the son and the Holy Spirit – equal partners in the Divinity. In short, it was very difficult to find any convinced person of One God (Allah Almighty). Those all faiths have been determined false and set at naught in this Surah. And it is taught that there is no partner of Allah Almighty, as He is Single in His Kind, in the same way, His virtues are odd too from all others. Only He is, Who has created the entire things with His Own Omnipotence, and until He will desire, will keep them up. And whenever, He will wish, will finish them. Security, safety and establishment of the world are only in His hand. He has prescribed different and separate Laws of life for every kind of His creature. He is also the Creator of the humankind and for the guidance of human beings, He has sent Messengers and Prophets (peace be upon Them), out of which, there is recital about many Messengers (peace be upon Him) in this Chapter.

A review on Surah ‘Al-MAAA-‘IDAH - Quran Chapter 5 – 119 & 120 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-767) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 5 – 119 & 120 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-767) - درس قرآن

A review on Surah ‘Al-MAAA-‘IDAH

Surah MAAA-‘IDAH (The Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

Every command, which exists in Holy Qur’aan, that is for the entire nation (including the Jews, the Christians or the Idolaters etc.). A thing, which needs special attention of every human being in the world, is, that all of them, who were born during the worldly life of the Last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allah Almighty be upon Him) and will born until the last Day of this world (the Day of Resurrection), are included in the nation of Last Messenger, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) without any distinction of tribe, color, race or religion.

So, the commands, mentioned in the Holy Qur’aan are usually in plural tense, but wherever, singular tense has been used into them, there, the Messenger of Allah Almighty has been addressed (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allah Almighty be upon Him) personally, Who represents entire people of His nation. It is known from this discussion that the pride of every individual is hidden in the pride of the nation (society), and it is responsibility of the society to look after every person one by one. That is to say; nobody can do such a work, which harms the society, or due to which, the society is confused i.e. rebellion, refractoriness, theft or obstinacy etc. These all acts are the crimes, which upset the society. So punishment of these sins is very severe, as it has been described in this Chapter. And it is an injunction for society that after proving the crime, the criminal should not be remitted any more.

The society is hurt always due to evil-deeds of the people. The form of it is that either an individual or some persons mutually hold the law in their own hands and try to press others, and the Messenger (peace be upon Him) and His Scripture (Torah, Gospel, Quran) are thrown behind and they desire to issue their own command. Its reason is that, at first the society gets out of order due to immoralities of the rich people, and it (the society) cannot watch its own all individuals, and has not power to punish the evildoers. After that, the individuals take time by the forelock to play their games openly and commit as they wish. It was done in this way by the Jews and the Christians, so after telling their condition, it has been described that the Muslims should be saved from like their evil deeds.

Corruption of the society is root cause of the mankind’s destruction and principally it is spoiled always by the wicked deeds of the wealthy people. Everyone will be asked about it on the Day of Resurrection, and every Messenger (peace be upon Him) will be asked at first because He is the greatest Watching of the society in the world, “Did you not establish the society upon the correct principles?” It is the meaning of asking from Jesus (peace be upon Him) that those mischievous people be punished effectively, who had confused the society, after proving His (peace be upon Him) innocence.

This question will be asked from Jesus (peace be upon Him) particularly because His nation is the most criminal in the corruption of the human society. As though, the question from Jesus (peace be upon Him) is preface of His nation’s punishment. The Jews are also criminal because they tried their best not to establish the human society in accord with the instructions by Jesus (peace be upon Him) and they left no stone unturned to trouble Him (peace be upon Him).

Then, it is the crime of those both nations that they rejected the Last and Final Law i.e. Holy Qur’aan, according to which, the human society was required to be established, and they continued their devastating activities. The Muslims should take warning from their circumstances, and as the Jews and the Christians (both) disappointed their Messengers (peace be upon Them), following them, the Muslims should not hurt their and Allah’s Last and Beloved Messenger, Muhammad, (Who is Mercy for the entire worlds (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him).

Commentary

The lessons of Surah ‘Al-Maaa-‘idah have finished with the last lesson, now we are going to review it and see the lessons taught by the Chapter (Surah) under discussion.
Actually, its all contents revolve around only one topic. We can reap full advantage from this Surah; live a happy and successful life, if we understand that particular topic.

It is inborn nature of the human being that he desires to fulfill his every desire without any hindrance. He thinks that he should make any such plan, what he wills, that may be done and there should be no stoppage in its attainment. Moreover, everyone should regard his assent, follow him and help him in gaining his object. The Holy Qur’aan accepts this nature, but educates along with it that independence of everybody should be bound of any rule and plan; otherwise he is an animal, not a mankind.

This rule is called “Law” and it has been made by Him, Who created the human being (The Creator). Accepting it, is called “the Belief”. The name of that Law is “Holy Qur’aan” and Its Maker is Allah Almighty. In the beginning of this Chapter, it has been commanded “Abide by the Law”. It has been told in this way that the name of accepting, Allah and Qur’aan, is “Belief”. Accomplish your responsibilities. It means “your personal freedom is nothing before “this Law” and there can be none maker of the Law but Allah Almighty. It is the first sign of the Belief, without which, nobody can say him/herself “a Believer”.

It is the condition to enforce the Law that some traditions are established, and then everyone is admonished that none should commit against these customs. It is the responsibility of the entire nation as aggregate to watch this matter. In short, the Maker of the rules of Law is Allah Almighty, but the responsibility of watching them is upon the entire nation.

It is known that the real things, which need special attention in the world, are four:

(1)   Allah Almighty

(2)   His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) and the Law i.e. Holy Qur’aan and the Sayings of the Messenger (peace be upon Him), which explain this Law

(3)   The living being (mankind)

(4)  The entire nation.

Allah Almighty and Holy Qur’aan are Eternal, Immovable and Unchangeable at Their own places. Mutual relations between the living being and the society are required to be established according to the principles commanded by Them (Allah Almighty and Holy Qur’aan). It is duty of the society to arrange properly for every person to cause to understand the Law perfectly, and that is called Education.

It is the duty of the living being (every person) that he/she should be bound to act according to the traditions/customs, established by the society, and when one observes that any tradition has become contrary to the Law, then one should inform the society properly and leave that tradition personally. This lesson has been caused to understand in this Surah and commanded that old nations erred in either understanding or acting upon them. Those errors have been manifested, so that we may be saved from them.

120.  Lillaahi  mulkus-samaawaati  wal-‘arzi  wa  maa  fiihinn.  Wa  Huwa  ‘alaa  kulli  shay-‘in – Qadiir.

Commentary

After hearing the explanation from the Messenger Jesus (peace be upon Him) on the Judgment Day, Allah Almighty will decide: This is a Day, which is useful and profitable only for those people, who went Straight forward during their worldly life and they will reap advantage of their truthfulness. The sinners, the evildoers and the disbelievers have not been described in this decision, because their condition can be understood and known easily from this Judgment. There is no need to mention clearly about it, and it is the Way of Narration, which discloses its Disposition as it is only of the Word of Allah Almighty.

It is commanded that today is the Day in which the persons, who did good, will be rewarded good retaliation of their good deeds, and those, who obeyed the orders of Allah Almighty sincerely and truthfully, will get its fruit as remuneration. There are Gardens for their dwelling, underneath the trees and courtyards which, the rivers of clear and transparent water flow. Then these Gardens will never be snatched from them. Moreover those will be granted to them, so that they may live in to them forever. It is the biggest success of a human being. These rewards will be bestowed by Allah Almighty; in Whose Sovereignty are the heavens, the earth and all the things exist in to them. There is nothing, which may be out of His Divine Power.

Importunity of Mercy from God - Quran Chapter 5 – 118 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-764) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 5 – 118 (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-764) - درس قرآن

Importunity of Mercy from God

Surah MAAA-‘IDAH (The Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

118.  If Thou punish them, lo! they are Thy slaves, and if Thou forgive them (lo! they are Thy slaves); lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Mighty, the Wise.
118.  ‘In  Tu-‘azzib-hum  fa-‘innahum  ‘ibaaduK.  Wa  ‘in-  Tagfirlahum  fa-‘innaKa  ‘Antal-  ‘Aziizul-  Hakiim.

Commentary

It is the best way of requesting for forgiveness of a criminal before Him, Who is The Mighty and The Wise. When the crime of the criminal is proved and the Ruler is such a Person, Whose decision can neither be put off and nor can it be appealed, then the person, who is going to recommend the culprit, can say only these words, which have been used here by Jesus (peace be upon Him).

Whatever has been described by the Messenger Jesus (peace be upon Him) till now, is such a clear description, after which, it is incumbent to fix the Christians that they are proved blameworthy. There is no doubt in this matter that Jesus and His Mother, Mary (peace be upon Them) were made worshipped in the world.

There may be only two reasons of determining Them (Jesus and Mary - peace be upon Them) worshipped:

·       Either that, Jesus (peace be upon Him), who was Messenger of Allah Almighty, said Himself to the people: Worship Me and My Mother, Mary also along with the Worship of God.

·       Or that, the Christians selected this path at their own without command of Jesus (peace be upon Him). It has been proven from His (peace be upon Him) answer that He is Innocent.

Likewise, it appears also from this discussion that actually, this act (the belief in a plurality of God) has been invented and committed by the Christians themselves, so they are accused.

The Messenger Christ (peace be upon Him) will request Allah Almighty with the same reflection: O Lord! If Thou punish them, there is none, who may challenge Thou, because Thou art their fully Master and they are Thy friendless and unable slaves. They were entrapped by Satan and the biggest crime has been committed by them. If Thou wish to forgive them, Thou art Able to do so because they are Thy slaves. None can prevent Thou in this condition because Thou art the Most Powerful. Thou Knowest also very well that there is no inconvenience, if Thou forgive them because Thou art the Mighty and hath reached the depth of every matter, and Knower of the result of every act.

It is the best method to request a Mighty, a Knower and a Seer Ruler for His mercy and kindness that as much as it may be possible, one should admit His unlimited power and strength, and own helplessness.

117.  Maa  qultu  lahum  ‘illaa  maaa  ‘amarTa-nii  bihiii  ‘ani’-buDUllaaha  Rabbii  wa  Rabbakum.  Wa  kuntu  ‘alay-him  shahiidam-maa  dumtu  fiihim.  Fa-lammaa  Ta-waffay-tanii  kunta  ‘Antar-Raqiiba  ‘alay-him.  Wa  ‘Anta  ‘alaa  kulli  shay-‘in-  Shahiid.

Commentary

The Messenger Jesus Christ (peace be upon Him) is restless for explaining about His being innocence in the Court of Allah Almighty. He (peace be upon Him) is considering that so much big question cannot be asked without any reason. Certainly, there is any wisdom of Allah Almighty in it. At first, He (peace be upon Him) requests, “O Allah, Gory be to Thee. How can he be an arrogant against Thee? How can he claim as partnership with Thee, who is a servant of Thee, to whom Thee art Kind enough, bestowed and appointed him Your own Messenger and Prophet”? Then Jesus (peace be upon Him) solicits: I have not too much knowledge that I may understand Thy Secrets and discover Thy philosophy, which exists in this question. Thee Know very well that I did never think so (that I may make god myself). Then Christ (peace be upon Him) describes about those deeds, which He (peace be upon Him) performed to keep His duty in the world. In this verse, He (peace be upon Him) explains:

O my Lord! I told them nothing except only that which Thou commanded me. I said to them: Worship Allah Almighty, Who is my and your Lord and Protector. And admit before Him that you (the people) are helpless and poor. None is able to be worshipped but only He (Allah Almighty). O Allah! I was a witness of them while I dwelt among them, and when Thou picked me up, then Thou was the Watcher over them Thyself, and there is no any other except Thy, who may watch because Thou art Witness and Watcher over all things.

After that, Jesus (peace be upon Him) thought, surely there would be a particular reason of this question, that after proving the crime of the claimants of my followers, they may be punished properly against their evil deeds. Therefore, He (peace be upon Him) recommended the evil-livers of His nation in very suitable words being a merciful Messenger, which will be discussed in the next lesson.

Commentary

According to previous lesson, Jesus (peace be upon Him) said to Allah Almighty: Glory be to Thee it did not befit me to utter that to which I had no right. In this verse, it has been described about the next discussion. Jesus (peace be upon Him) requested: O Lord! If I had ever said it, then certainly You would have known it, because You know very well about everything and nothing is out from Your Knowledge. Then how can it be possible that You would not have known that I would have spoken such a false and impure word? I had never thought in such a way, otherwise You had known that also, because You are the Knower of entire Open and Hidden things, and even that Your Secrets can never come in to my knowledge, nor can I think about them. Actually the Knowledge of Hidden Things is only Yours Excellence, because Hidden is that, which is Invisible for the mankind but all is Visible to You.

Jesus (peace be upon Him) said: O Allah! While You bestowed upon me a higher Dignity of the Messenger-hood, then how could such word come out from my mouth, in which there was insolence of You and proof that You are needy of any supporter (God forbid). It is like finding a fault in to You, if anyone considers that You are needy of any helper, whereas You are Pure from all kinds of defects and faults.

So Jesus (peace be upon Him) used the word Sub-haanaKa (Glory be to Thee) in the beginning of his answer – and then said: Being a Messenger, it did not befit me to utter that I and my mother should be taken for two gods beside Allah and (let us flee to Allah) You are not sufficient to be God. In this part of the verse Jesus (peace be upon Him) said: Only You are the Knower of Things Hidden. You know my open and secrets. I produce Your Knowledge as my witness that I did never say these words.

Commentary

It is a promise of wideness in the sustenance for the believers (the Christians) of Jesus (peace be upon Him). But those persons will be punished very severely, who spend in disobedience of Allah Almighty. This promise of wideness in the income was fulfilled, but the Christians did not spend their wealth in accordance with the commands of Allah Almighty. Moreover, they spent it for the purpose of immoral luxury, gambols and games.

For making them acquainted with an event of the Day of Resurrection, it has been described in this section that an inquiry will be repeated from the Messenger Jesus (peace be upon Him) due to His nation. The aim is that they should give up rebellion behavior and wickedness; otherwise nobody will be able to save them from the wrath of Allah Almighty.

It is being commanded: Listen by opening your ears, Allah Almighty will ask Jesus (peace be upon Him), “Did you say to your nation that they should take you and your mother for two gods beside Allah and worship both of you? Jesus (peace be upon Him) will say humbly: O Good and Pure from all defects Allah! It did not befit me to utter that to which I had no right. How can it be so from me whether I am Your Servant and Messenger, which cannot be said by any common human being?

This entire Section of Holy Qur’aan is as much filled up of Greatness and Dignity of Allah Almighty; and mankind’s humility and submissiveness that by reciting it, the hairs stand on end. Here, one should also understand it that the Muslims too believe in Jesus (peace be upon him). Therefore, which lesson the Christians should learn from this description, the same, but more than them, the Muslims should learn.
