It is being informed in the
verses of previous lesson that these are verses of such a Book; in which;
useful matters for the human beings; have been explained. The person; who
desires to correct his manners and habits, and wants that he should persist
during tempests of violent passions; he should hear and recite these verses. He
will know “what should he do?” Language of this Luminous Book is pure Arabic,
so that to those people; whom; Messenger of Allah Almighty; Muhammad (grace,
glory, blessings and peace be upon him) will cause to hear at first by
reciting, no difficulty should come before them, because they will fulfill the
responsibility of teaching to others in future.
It is commanded: O Messenger
(grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him)! We narrate unto You the best
of stories and We have secured it as a part of that Qur’an, which
We have been revealing unto You by means of Divine inspiration, so that, it may
pull out the human beings always by catching their hands from the extreme black
darkness of the passions and deepest pits of the way of life; by the fortune of
its excellent description, elegance of its dialect and fineness of its way of
education. It may support them in the sudden violent bursts of passions of
their hearts. It should not let them be down-hearted due to causing troubles
and violation by others, so that they may produce a live example of self
determination, steadiness, patience and humility, forgiveness and graciousness
before others.
It is commanded: You were not
aware of this narrative before this time. Now, We have revealed it so that you
may know; in such a way that, by it, lesson and advice is manifested naturally
at every step, and it may influence the hearts.
The Jews were aware of the
story of Prophet Joseph (peace be upon him) by means of Torah. They instructed
to the idolaters of Makkah that they should ask about this
story from their Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). The
idolaters produced their demand before the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings
and peace be upon Him), because their aim was that “He will not be able to
describe about this story, and the people will not have firm belief in Him”
(grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him).
Allah Almighty revealed Surah
Yuusuf (Chapter Joseph) and described about the program of the
Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) by giving obscure
hints in the story that “how the people of His nation will afflict and
expatriate Him from His (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) native
land, and how Allah Almighty will confer Him honor and power in foreign
country; overwhelm the nation before Him; He will forgive all and those entire
people will become His (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him)
companions?”
