Commentary
‘Amadin –
(support), such thing on which any other thing is placed, for example pillars
on which the roof is fixed.
It is commanded that Allah
Almighty has inspired the Holy Qur’aan unto His last Messenger
Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) for guidance of the
human beings. Therefore, the human beings should know at first Allah Almighty,
then they will recognize the value of Qur’aan, High in Dignity.
Knowing Allah (God) Almighty is not too much difficult for the intelligent
people. When we see over heads, the sky, the sun, the moon and the stars come
before our vision. Wise person thinks: Whence have these come? Who did create
them? How have they been staying without support?
Consequently, his sense tells
him: Certainly, Creator of all things is Allah Almighty; Who is Omnipotent. We
observe that the sky has been spreading over us but no pillar or support is
visible; on which it has been fixed.
This verse guides us that this
decision of the sense is quite right. Allah Almighty created heavens and He, It
is Who caused them to stay without visible supports. And He mounted the Throne
from where He puts everything of the universe in order. The sun and the moon
have been performing their duties by His commandment.
