Commentary

It is mention about this matter that Allah Almighty sent His Messengers (peace be upon them) unto ancient nations. They had sense; bestowed by God Almighty but they fell in love with the world and began to use their sense in such matters that it should cause to understand them tricks of fulfilling their desires. And they may produce always new goods of worldly enjoyment and be addicted to pleasure.

Therefore, whatever is being produced nowadays in the world under the shadow of developed science, the same was being produced during old times too according to the science of that era. Every individual was desirous that he should invent any such arrangement that the world should come under his clutch, and other entire people may not get any thing without his permission.

In such condition, it was necessary that the mankind should be awakened from the dream of ignorance, and they should be caused to know the meanings of life and death. In these verses, a sketch of peoples’ stratagem and controversies including instructions by the Messengers (peace be upon them), have been drawn.

At last, when the Messengers (peace be upon them) overcame in discussion, then wicked people began to quarrel and said: Behold! If you did continue repeating Allah, patience and trust in God etc., then we shall exile You from our townships. Be cautious! Live as we live and embrace our religion, if you want to live among us. Achieve not your own purpose, otherwise run away from here (God forbid).
