Quran Chapter 11 – 46 (Pt-12, Stg-3) (L-1419) - درس قرآن
The moment for consideration
Surah
Huud (Hud) - 11
‘A-‘uu-zu Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir-
Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)
From the commandment of God
Almighty, which He addressed to Noah (peace be upon him) that “O Noah! Your son
(Yam or Kan’aan) is not of your household, he is of evil conduct”,
such false thought has been rendered null and void, in which; the People of the
Scripture had been entangled, and till today, they and many other people have
fallen into the same deception.
The People of the Scripture had
forgotten many commandments, even then they used to acquiesce in the Day of
Resurrection, as well as they used to believe in the Abodes of the Blessed and
the Infernal (the Heaven and the Hell), they were not deniers of the Reward and
the Punishment in the Hereafter. But they were proud of their super-eminence relating
to family.
The Children of Israel used to
say to the Muslims: We are children of Prophets, there is no harm; if we commit
even any sin, our forefathers will cause us to excuse. If we would be punished
in the Hell, that would be for only a few days. Why their children will be left
in the Hell whose forefathers have so much higher ranks; as ours? They (our
forefathers) were intimate and beloved of God. Why their descendants would not
be admitted and beloved?
The Christians used to say: our
recommendatory is Jesus Christ (peace be upon him), who himself is son of God
(Let us flee to God). He sacrificed his life for us. Certainly he will cause to
forgive us whether we commit any sin.
Holy Qur’an has
refuted above mentioned both kinds of false thoughts with full detail and
clearness, so that the Muslims should not be entangled in such error that
relationship with a person of higher grade is sufficient for deliverance of any
mankind. The same has been caused to understand here in the story of Noah (peace
be upon him).
It has been made clear in Surah
‘Al-Jaasiah that none will be relative of any other on the Day of
Resurrection save those people who escape from sins in the world and do good
works. Moreover, evildoers will be enemies of one another. Neither genealogy
will be useful there and nor the caste of any individual will have any
importance. Last Messenger of Allah Almighty Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings
and peace be upon him) said to his daughter Fatimatuz-Zuhra (Allah
be pleased with her) clearly: O Fatimah! You should not think that
being my daughter will be cause of your deliverance. You also would have to do
good works, obey and worship Allah Almighty.
It has been commanded in Surah
Luqmaan clearly: O People! Fear Allah, give up committing sins and
manage to save yourselves from misfortunes of that Day when neither the father
will be able to save his son and nor the son to his father.
