whoso opposeth the Messenger after the guidance (of Allah) hath been

for him that unto which he himself hath turned, and expose him unto Hell. A

Commentary
Yushaaqi-qi –
(opposes), the origin of this word is mushaaqah,
which is made from shaqq. Shaqq means ‘towards, and direction’.
Here it signifies ‘making a new path, leaving the path of Messenger (grace,
glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), and following the way other than the
believer’s way.
Nu-wallihii – (We shall let him go),
its origin is tawliit,
which means “to appoint someone ruler upon himself, to give something in one’s
possession”. Here it has been used for the meanings of ‘to empower’. Tawallii has also been made from the same
origin. That is to say; which path he chose.
There is a clear proclamation
in this verse about the punishment of such person, who does not obey the
commands of the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and
peace be upon Him). Moreover, he becomes ready to oppose Him (grace, glory,
blessings and peace be upon Him); particularly in the form that while the
Guidance of Allah Almighty have been manifested to him
openly and obviously. And he would have certainly known that telling a lie,
deceiving and imposture cannot be current before the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and
peace be upon Him) and Allah Almighty is the Protector of Him from
deciding wrongfully. He told His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace
be upon Him) that the guilty is Ta’-mah,
and the Jew Zayd is innocent. After that, it was duty
of Ta’-mah that he should be abashed and agreed
to the decision of Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him),
and adopted the way of believers, had bow his head before the Law of Islam. But
he did not do so, but did against the order of Messenger (grace, glory,
blessings and peace be upon Him) and leaving the Muslims, chose a separate
path.
It is the decision of Allah Almighty
for such person that he is free to adopt any path, which he wishes in the
world. But after death, when he will return to Us (Allah Almighty),
because the Day of Resurrection will surely come, then We will admit him into the
Hell. Alas! He did know that the Hell is very hapless place. Nothing will be
attainable there for him except anguish, pain, suffering, distress, sorrow and
torment, whose bad deeds cause to arrive him at the Hell. May we be protected
from that place by Allah Almighty. It has also been known from
this verse that the person, who will leave Islam for escaping from the worldly calamities,
his abode is the Hell.
