Admission of “being a slave unto God” - Quran Chapter 4 -172 (Pt-6, Stg-1) (L-634) -

Quran Chapter 4 -172 (Pt-6, Stg-1) (L-634) -

Admission of “being a slave unto God”

Suratun-Nisaaa’  (The Women) – Chapter – 4)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

172.  The Messiah will never scorn to be a slave unto Allah, nor will the favoured angels. And whoso scorneth His service and is proud, all such will He assemble unto Him.
172.  Lany-yas-tankifal-Masiihu  ‘any-yakuuna  ‘Abdal-LIllaahi  wa  lal-malaaa-‘ikatul-mu-qarra-buun.  Wa  many-yastankif  ‘an  ‘ibaa-datihii  wa  yas-takbir  fasa-yah-shuruhum  ‘ilayhi  jamii-‘aa.

    Commentary

Yas-tankif – (will scorn), this word is from ‘istankaaf, which means ‘to scorn, to feel shame, to have a sense of disgrace, to turn up one’s nose and knit the eyebrows, to disclose one’s disgust’.

‘Al-mu-qarra-buuna – (most favored), this word has been derived from the word ‘Qurb’, which means ‘propinquity, nearness’. It is plural of Muqarrab, that is to say; the person, who is very close to someone. ‘Al-malaaa-‘ikatul-mu-qarra-buuna – {most favored Angels (peace be upon them)}, as the Seraphim named ‘Gabriel, Michael, Israfiel and ‘Izrail (peace be upon them) are considered most favored Angels of Allah Almighty. They (peace be upon them) have been detailed on specific duties.

The People of the Scripture have been commanded that Messenger Jesus (peace be upon Him) takes up glory with His mind as being Servant of Allah Almighty. He will never turn, nor will most favored Angels (peace be upon them) turn up their noses and knit their eyebrows from it. Those people who steal away from the worship of Allah Almighty and scorn their services, they should remember the Truth that Allah Almighty will gather the entire human beings unto Him on the Day of Resurrection. Then, He will give rewards to those out of them, who would be His servants, well-doers, Believers and His obedient. He will bestow them comfort and satisfaction, and will please them according to their status in abstinence and chastity. But those people, who used to run away from His worship and scorn His service, they will suffer from a very painful doom. Nobody will be able to save them.

Heretofore, the People of the Scripture were addressed and guided in clear words in this matter that they should not transgress the limits of their religion, nor utter aught concerning Allah Almighty, His commands and His Scriptures save the truth, and should not consider that exaggeration and wrong saying are lawful. They should not talk that, which is entirely and certainly contrary to the truth about Jesus (peace be upon Him). While Messiah (peace be upon Him) takes it as a pride to be a servant of Allah Almighty, then why do you avoid asserting this matter? He (peace be upon Him) never scorned to be a slave unto Allah Almighty, then who are you turning up your nose and knitting the eyebrows from it?

Advice for the People of the Scripture

Suratun-Nisaaa’  (The Women) – Chapter – 4)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

171.  O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His Word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him; so believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not “Three”. Cease! (it is) better for you! Allah is only One God. Far be it from His Transcendent Majesty to have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is Sufficient as Defender.
171.  Yaaa-‘ahlal-Kitaabi  laa tagluu  fii diinikum  wa  laa  taquuluu  ‘alAllaahi  ‘illal-haqq.  ‘Innamal- Masiihu  ‘Ii-sabnu- Maryama  RasuulUllaahi  wa  Kalimatuh.  ‘Alqaa-haaa  ‘ilaa  Maryama  wa  ruuhum-minh.  Fa-‘aaminuu  Billaahi  wa  RusuliH.  Wa  laa  taquuluu  Salaasah.  ‘Intahuu  khayral-lakum.  ‘Inna-mAllaahu  ‘Ilaahunw-Waahid.  Sub-haa-naHuuu  ‘any-yakuuna  laHuu  walad.  LaHuu  maa  fis-samaawaati  wa  maa  fil-‘arz.  Wa  kafaa  Billaahi  Wakiilaa.

    Commentary

‘Innamaa – (undoubtedly, certainly, without any doubt), this word is used at only such times and occasions, when and where we want to say, “No doubt, It is, the matter is only this, nothing except it”. Sub-haa-na - (Far be it, purity and separation from each type of defect and harm). That is to say; Allah Almighty is Heaven, Pure and clear from every kind of vice and loss, and due to this reason, He is also pure from being a father, which is a sign of necessity. KalimatuH  (His Word), to manifest the Desire of Allah Almighty in the form of Word.

It has been commanded by Allah Almighty that you should not exaggerate in the limits of your religion, nor utter aught concerning Him. Say only that, which His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) tells you, because that is the truth, and remaining all are false notions and absurd ideas.

The Messiah, Jesus is son of Mary (peace be upon them), He is a Word of Allah Almighty, which was conveyed unto Mary. He (peace be upon Him) is a soul out of the treasuries of the souls of Allah Almighty which was revealed towards Mary (peace be upon her) and was only a messenger of Allah Almighty.

You should believe in Allah Almighty as it is necessary, also believe in His Messengers (peace be upon Them). Do not invent such false notions as “Three Gods”. The dignity of Jesus (peace be upon Him) has been elevated by using these words, which does not have even a very little reflection of truth, whereas the Degree of Allah Almighty has been demoted too down that the sense cannot accept it.

Listen with open ears about Allah Almighty that He Alone is Worshipped of entire creatures without any partner. Far be it from His Transcendent Majesty to have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and the entire are under His Jurisdiction, Power and Authority.

The coming of the Last Messenger - Quran Chapter 4 -170 (Pt-6, Stg-1) (L-632) -

Quran Chapter 4 -170 (Pt-6, Stg-1) (L-632) -

The coming of the Last Messenger

Suratun-Nisaaa’  (The Women) – Chapter – 4)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

170.  O mankind! The Messenger hath come unto you with the Truth from your Lord, therefore believe; (it is) better for you. And if ye disbelieve, still, lo! Unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. And Allah is ever Knower, Wise.
170.  Yaaa-‘ayyu-hannaasu  qad  jaaa-‘akumur-Rasuulu  bil-haqqi  mir-Rabbikum  fa-‘aaminuu  khayrallakum.  Wa  ‘in  takfuruu  fa-‘inna  Lillaahi  maa  fis-samaawaati  wal-‘arz.  Wa  kaanAllaahu  ‘Aliiman  Hakiimaa.

    Commentary

Hakiimun – (Wise), this excellence of Allah Almighty has come in the Holly Qur’aan again and again. It is made from “Hikmah”, which means ‘to say such words, which have advantage into them’, wisdom. It is apparent that only He can do this, who knows everything and able to organize the information in such a manner that the results remain positive until final.

A principle was described in the previous lesson that Allah Almighty does not wish to compel anyone towards the Straight Path. Everybody has choice to choose the way for him/herself. In accordance with this principle, it was commanded, “Those people, who have disbelieved and done wrong, Allah Almighty will never forgive them, neither will He guide them unto a path, except the path which lead to the Hell, wherein they will abide forever.

It has been mentioned in this verse that after giving the option to the human being, Allah Almighty has told very clearly about the Straight Path by sending His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). The Way of Messengers (peace be upon Them) is the Way of Belief. Having belief would prove best for the mankind at the end. Even after so much clearness, if any person disbelieves, then he/she should bear in mind that he/she cannot go out anywhere from the Omnipotence possession of Allah Almighty. He has caused to know the humankind it’s good and bad. The principles of the religion, which have been determined, have been determined very carefully and intentionally. And their result will be ease and comfort at the end.

O mankind! This Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) has come unto you with the Truth from your Lord Almighty to guide you towards the Straight Path. Therefore! Have faith in His sayings, obey His command and believe; it is better for you. He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) wishes to carry you towards the Path of belief, where, there is no fear of any kind. And if you do not understand, still, then it is fault of your sense. Think a while! He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) guides you for your own good and He does not demand any retaliation of it from you. Neither collection of wealth and property is His object and nor is He fond of sway. He has nothing in His heart other than your good-will. There is no loss of Allah Almighty, if you will disbelieve. Every thing in the heavens and the earth is of Allah Almighty. His Empire will suffer no injury due to your disbelief. And Allah Almighty is ever Knower and Wise.

The Hell for the Infidels - Quran Chapter 4 -168 & 169 (Pt-6, Stg-1) (L-631) -

Quran Chapter 4 -168 & 169 (Pt-6, Stg-1) (L-631) -

The Hell for the Infidels

Suratun-Nisaaa’  (The Women) – Chapter – 4)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

168.  Lo! Those who have disbelieved and done wrong, Allah will never forgive them, neither will He guide them unto a path-

169.  Except the path of Hell, wherein they will abide for ever. And that is ever easy for Allah.
168.  ‘Innal-laziina kafaruu  wa zalamuu  lam  yakuNillaahu  li-yagfira  lahum  wa  laa  li-yahdi-yahum  tariiqaa.

169.  ‘Illaa  tariiqa  Jahannama  khaalidiina  fiihaa  ‘abadaa.  Wa  kaana zaalika  ‘alAllaahi  yasiiraa.

    Commentary

Zalamuu – (they did wrong), it is from zulm, which means ‘to harm, to use force against others. It was told in the previous verse that those people who do not believe in Allah Almighty, His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) and His Religion, they have gone far astray from the Straight Path.

Allah Almighty commands in this verse that those people who are disbelievers and disobedient, they oppress themselves as well as other people. They have been driven back from the straight path and at last they would have to reach the ruin. Now there is no opportunity for them to come back to the right path. They have wandered very away to the wrong direction. If someone will tell them now about the true path, that will not be understandable for them, because they like that path very much, upon which they are wandering. There is a lot of things to fulfill their heartily wishes on each step.

However, if they ask from anyone, they ask resolutions to get more comforts of that wrong path. They never think about the straight path, nor they believe in Allah Almighty and nor they ask Him to guide them. Also Allah Almighty does not care them. He will let them go towards the wrong direction, which they have liked for themselves. There is a principle near Allah Almighty that He does not compel anybody to adopt the straight path. The end of that wrong path, which they have chosen, is Hell and that will lead them to fall in to it. In this form they have no chance to escape from it and never will they be able to get out from it. They will remain in the Hell forever.

It is very easy for Allah Almighty to punish them against their evildoing. If they are punished then it is evident that they themselves purchased this punishment at their own. Allah Almighty eases that particular path for everyone, which is chosen by each person his/herself. It is His prescribed Law, which is not changeable. Briefly speaking, Allah Almighty has bestowed option in the mind of humankind and it is the Divine Rule that necessities and means are arranged for which a human being intends. Upon the basis of this intention, the mankind is held responsible of good or bad deeds.

Testimony by God Almighty - Quran Chapter 4 -165 to 167 (Pt-6, Stg-1) (L-630) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 4 -165 to 167 (Pt-6, Stg-1) (L-630) - درس قرآن

Testimony by God Almighty

Suratun-Nisaaa’  (The Women) – Chapter – 4)

BisMillaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

165.  (We sent) messengers of
good cheer and of warning, in
order that mankind might have
no argument against Allah
after the messengers. And
Allah is ever Mighty, Wise.

166.  But Allah (Himself)
testifieth concerning that
which He hath revealeth
unto thee; in His knowledge
hath He revealed it; and the
angels also testify. And
 Allah is Sufficient Witness.

167.  Lo! Those who disbelieve and hinder (others) from the Way of Allah, they verily have wandered far astray.
165.  Rusulam-mubash-shiriina    wa  munziriina  li-‘allaa  yakuuna  linnaasi  ‘alAllaahi  hujjatum- ba’-dar-rusul.  Wa  kaanAllaahu  ‘Aziizan  Hakiimaa.

166.  Laaki-NIllaahu  yash-hadu  bimaaa  ‘anzala  ‘ilayka  ‘anza-lahuu  bi-‘ilmih.  Wal-malaaa-‘ikatu  yash-haduun.  Wa  kafaa  BIllaahi  Shahiidaa.

167.  ‘Innal-laziina  kafaruu  wa  sadduu  ‘an-Sabii-LIllaahi  qad  zalluu  zalaalam-ba-‘iidaa.

    Commentary

Li-‘allaa – actually these are three alphabetical letters – li, ‘an, laa. It means – in order that – no. In writing usually it is written li-‘allaa. The letter “n” is deleted.

Sadduu  - they hindered, it is from sadd, which means ‘to hinder, to prevent, to disallow, to refrain’. Zalluu – (to stray), It has been made from the word zalaal, which means ‘to lose the way’. Zalluu  zalaalam-ba-‘iidaa - they have adopted wrong path and wandered far astray after leaving the true Way.

Allah Almighty says in this verse, “We sent many Messengers (peace be upon them) heretofore. It was their duty to cause to hear the people good cheer, who do well, that they will be given very good retaliation (reward) of their good deeds, and warn them who are evildoers, that they will be oppressed by different types of adversities and will be punished very severely.

Aim to send the Messengers (peace be upon them) was that the people may not argue and evade on the Doomsday that they did not know about the Straight Path. They might say, “If we had known about the correct way, surely we would have adopted it”. After sending the Messengers (peace be upon them), now they cannot say these words, because they (peace be upon them) have told the people very clearly about the truth. Now if they do not obey them (peace be upon them), then they will be punished according to their deeds.

If Allah Almighty wished, He was able to direct all the human beings forcibly towards the Straight Path, because He is ever Mighty and very Wise. But His Wisdom and Plan wished to empower them and give them reward or punishment of deeds. Then it has been emphasized, “We have determined the Holy Qur’aan for perfect guidance of the humankind for entire times, and We testify it and the Angels (peace be upon them) are also its witnesses that It has all necessary things, which human beings need”.
