Deliverance in the Court of God Almighty

Lesson # 411

Deliverance in the Court of God Almighty

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imraan (The Family of Imran - 3), Stage – 1,
Verse – 116 of 200, Section – 12 of 20, (Part – 4)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

116.  Lo! the riches and the progeny of those who disbelieve will not avail them aught against Allah; and such are rightful owners of the Fire. They will abide therein forever.
116.  ‘Innal-laziina  kafaruu  lan-tugniya  ‘anhum  ‘amwaa-luhum  wa laaa  ‘awlaaduhum-minal-laahi  shay-‘aa. Wa  ‘ulaaa-‘ika  ‘As-haabun-Naar. Hum  fiihaa  khaaliduun.

Lesson

After describing about the righteous people, now the discussion about the Infidels begins. Allah Almighty has commanded in this verse that only the Belief is a thing, which will be useful in the World and on the Day of Resurrection. Nothing of the worldly things like wealth and property, children and family etc. will be helpful for the human being. For these things, someone must not deteriorate his/her Hereafter.

This matter has already been explained that the biggest reason of inclination towards the infidelity and denial by the human being is that he comes in the deception of wealth and property, land and assets and the children. He loves them and keeps them very dare. And he forgets the difference between right and wrong being in love with them. Sometimes he becomes ready to sacrifice honesty, truth, justice and virtue. He considers that piles of wealth and property, sons and relatives will be useful for him everywhere. These things will put off his every calamity. This immature person does not understand that these entire things are mortal. Their life is only for a few days. These all are entirely inferior and unreal things, which will not provide him any support. The real thing is the Wealth of the Belief, which is sustainable and eternal, due to which humankind attains respect and honor in the world, as well as desires fame and success in the Day of Resurrection.

Today we observe many such people around us who pride on their wealth, who boast on abundance of their children, who are proud of their assets, land and factories. They consider that their religion and belief are only these things, and being arrogant due to these things, they forget their Creator and His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). They laugh at good and simpleton people. The last abode of such people is the Fire of the Hell, in which they will be burnt forever.

As though, mankind’s success and failure; reward and punishment of the Day of Resurrection, will be according to everyone’s personal deeds. The deeds of this world will be weighed in the Balance of Justice on the Last Day. Name and lineage will be useless.

More features of God’s friends

Lesson # 410

More features of God’s friends

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imraan (The Family of Imran - 3), Stage – 1,
Verses – 114 & 115 of 200, Section – 12 of 20, (Part – 4)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

114.  They believe in Allah and the Last Day, and enjoin right conduct and forbid the wrong, and vie one with another in good   works. And these are of the righteous.

115.  And whatever good they do, they will not be denied the meed thereof. And Allah is Aware of those who ward off (evil).
114.  Yu’-minuuna  BIllaahi  wal-Yaw-mil-‘Aakhiri  wa  ya’-muruuna  bil-ma’-ruufi  wa  yan-hawna  ‘anil-munkari  wa  yu-saari-‘uuna  fil-khay-raat.  Wa  ‘ulaaa-‘ika  minas-Saalihiin.

115.  Wa  maa  yaf-‘aluu  min  khayrin-  falany-yukfaruuh.  WAllaahu  ‘Aliimum—bil-Mutta-qiin.

Lesson

The characteristics of the righteous group from the People of the Scripture are being described. Their three virtues were stated in the first verse, that is to say; they are on the straight path, recite the Revelations of Allah Almighty and prostrate before God Almighty. Now their some more excellences have been mentioned.

They have faith in Allah Almighty and in the Last Day wholeheartedly, fear from the Day of Judgment and want to precede running fast from others; when they are called for any good work. Moreover, they also wish to bring others unto the right path. Indeed, these are the People from the Jews, to whom Allah Almighty has bestowed fortune of good disposition and special part of the guidance.

It is obvious from this verse that although different kinds of evils had been grown into the Jews, in spite of reciting the glad tidings about the Last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) in their Holy and Heavenly Books, they had been firm on denial. Even then, there were some such People present among them, who had succeeded in recognizing the Truth giving up the stubbornness and spite. Such blessings of Allah Almighty rained upon those People, and other Jews who continued to deny the True Religion for keeping up their false dignity, their end was very bad.

So it is evident that he/she gets the Divine guidance, who leaves the stubbornness, recites the Revelations of Allah Almighty, prostrates before Him at night, believes in Oneness of God Almighty and in the Day of Resurrection, escapes from the evil deeds and runs towards the good deeds. Such People will get meed from God Almighty. He knows the pious People very well. Therefore, whenever the evils of the Jews are discussed, then such kind of sober and abstinent persons are exempted.

The entire People of the Scripture are not equal

Lesson # 409

The entire People of the Scripture are not equal

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imraan (The Family of Imran - 3), Stage – 1,
Verse – 113 of 200, Section – 12 of 20, (Part – 4)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

113.  They are not all alike. Of the People of the Scripture there is a staunch community who recite the Revelations of Allah in the hours of night, falling prostrate (before Him).
113.  Laysuu  sawaaa-‘aa.  Min  ‘Ahlil-Kitaabi  ‘ummatun-  qaaa-‘imatuny-yat-luuna  ‘Aa-yaaTIllaahi  ‘aanaaa-‘al-lay-li  wa  hum  yasjuduun.

Lesson

In the previous lessons, religious condition, social, economical and political circumstances, and after life result of the People of the Scripture has been checked. Due to one sentence of these verses, the Muslims were taken in for a long time (they remained in deception).

God Almighty commanded, “They have earned anger of their Lord and provoked Him”. The Muslims took from it that ‘the Jews have been bereaved of sovereignty and kingdom forever. They will never become the king of any state/government’.

In May 1949, an Empire named Israel was established with the support of United States of America, United Kingdom and Russia (then Union of Soviet Socialist Republic) at a small part of the holy land “Palestine”. Then the Muslims imagined, “How did it happen so?” Whereas, God Almighty had commanded them in these verses clearly that they might be saved only in two forms from the wrath, disgrace and wretchedness. Either they should grasp (hold fast) the rope of Allah Almighty or make an agreement with other people and nations, and get their support. It is a universal truth that if the so-called State of Israel exists; her existence depends upon the base of enmity by other Sovereignty, which suppose the Muslims as their own enemies. Individually the Jews have not too much ability to stand at their own feet.

It has been commanded in this verse, “You should not consider the entire Jews and the Christians equal. Some of them are pious persons also. Their three qualities have been described here. Remaining will be discussed in succeeding verse:

1.    There is a staunch community (who are on the straight path).

2.    They recite the Revelations of Allah Almighty in the hours and silence of night.

3.  They prostrate also.

Causes of God’s Punishment

Lesson # 408

Causes of God’s Punishment

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imraan (The Family of Imran - 3), Stage – 1,
Verse – 112b of 200, Section – 12 of 20, (Part – 4)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

112b.  That is because they used to disbelieve the Revelations of Allah, and slew the Prophets wrongfully. That is because they were disobedient and used to transgress.

Lesson

The recitation of a nation, who earned the anger of Allah Almighty (the Jews), is being mentioned continuously. At first, following various forms of Divine’s wrath were described in the first part of this verse:

·         Disgrace and ignominy will be imposed on them, wherever they will proceed.

·         They have come in the grip of God’s wrath. Sovereignty, liberty and freedom will not be in their luck.

·         Wretchedness, poverty and bankruptcy will overcome on them.

There can be only two forms to be saved from the wrath of the Most Strong Ruler (Allah Almighty):

·         If they hold fast the rope of Allah Almighty, follow the Divine law of religion and become His slaves (servants).

·         If they make treaties and promise with other People and nations, and come in with their support.

In this part of the verse, God Almighty commands that there are four causes of this situation:

·         They used to disbelieve in the Revelations of Allah Almighty; that is to say; they used to falsify the Commandments of God Almighty. And the signs and miracles, which were sent down, they did not accept them too.

·         They slew the Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them) unjust. Slaying the Prophets (peace be upon them) was not such a minor crime, but they committed this evil without any particular reason.

·         They made the evil and the disobedience as their national custom.

·         They used to transgress, it aims that they crossed the Divine’s limitations and did not remain bound in the limits of the laws.

Entire history of the Jews is evident upon such analysis of their national life. Establishment of the so-called state of Israel itself is a living proof of the truth of God's Word.

Anger of God on the People of the Scripture

Lesson # 407

Anger of God on the People of the Scripture

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imraan (The Family of Imran - 3), Stage – 1,
Verse – 112a of 200, Section – 12 of 20, (Part – 4)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

112a.  Ignominy shall be their portion wheresoever they are found save (where they grasp) a rope from Allah and a rope from men. They have incurred anger from their Lord, and wretchedness is laid upon them.
112a.  Zuribat  ‘alayhimuz-zillatu  ‘ayna  maa  suqifuuu ‘illaa  bi-Hablim-minAllaahi  wa  Hablim-minannaasi  wa  baaa-‘uu  bi  gazabim-minAllaahi  wa zuribat  ‘alay-himul-maskanah.

Lesson

Zuribat  – {grievous hurt, is stroke, shall be (their) portion} this Arabic word is also used besides above meanings as “to walk, to affix and to impose.. ”. It has been used for these three meanings in the Holy Qur’aan too. Here it has been used as the last meanings of ‘affixed’ or ‘imposed’ (ignominy upon them).

Zillatun- (Ignominy), this word is used commonly for humiliation and disgrace. Some disgraced people and nations remain deprived of respect and honor in spite of their knowledge, wealth and independence. The disgrace and the humiliation surround them.

Hablim-minAllaahi  - (a rope or promise from Allah), it means, till the time, these people do not make the Divine law of Islam as theirs’ own and follow not God’s Instructions, ignominy will not be kept away from them. (For more detail; please revise the lesson of verse # 103a).

Hablim-minannaasi  - (a rope or promise by the people), second condition has been determined that if it is not so, then they would have to enter in the articles of agreement with the human beings. Till they will not get the support of other nations, will not be able to get rid of the disgrace and humiliation.

baaa-‘uu  bi  gazabim-minAllaahi  -  (They have incurred anger from their Lord), that is to say; they have been arrested in the grasp of God’s wrath due to their evil doings and bad deeds, Divine wrath has been imposed on them.

‘al-maskanah -  (wretchedness), poverty and indigence are also forms of anger and wrath of Allah Almighty. Financial misery and economic breakdown are main causes of disgrace themselves; of any nation.

Advice for the People of the Scripture

Lesson # 406

Advice for the People of the Scripture

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imraan (The Family of Imran - 3), Stage – 1,
Verses – 110b & 111 of 200, Section – 12 of 20, (Part – 4)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

110b.  And if the People of the Scripture had believed it had been better for them. Some of them are believers; but most of them are evil-livers.
111.  They will not harm you save a trifling hurt, and if they fight against you they will turn and flee. Then they will not be helped.
110b.  Wa  law  ‘aamana  ‘Ahlul-Kitaabi  lakaana  khayral-lahum.  Min-humul-mu’-minuuna  wa  ‘aksaru-humul-faasiquun.
111.  Lany-yazurruukum  ‘illaaa  ‘azaa. Wa  ’iny-yuqaatiluukum  yu-walluukumul-‘adbaar. Summa  laa  yunsaruun.

Lesson

‘Illaaa  ‘azaa – (save a trifling hurt) it means that the Jews will either abuse, or reproach with their tongues or will cause any other trifling hurt. They cannot harm you more than it.

God Almighty addresses the People of the Scripture in this verse: It had been better for you, If you would have believed, in this way you also could be included in the khayral  ‘ummam  (the best of the nations). Your respect would have been increased in the world and you would get rewards in the Hereafter.

But Alas! None of them accepted Islam save a few persons {for example Abdullah bin Salaam or Negus (the Emperor of Abyssinia) etc}. In spite of becoming the truth obvious, they stuck disobedience.

Maximum people of them are disobedient. Allah Almighty says, “O Muslims! You must not be afraid due to observing either their more number of people or materially arms and equipment”. It is the promise by God Almighty that these disobedient will not be able to harm you on the condition that you prove yourselves as the best nation in the true spirit. These people, at most; can just abuse you with tongue, or use bad words for you or cause trifling hurt. Neither can they overcome you, nor can cause you any big trouble. Be sure that if they would come before you to fight, they would turn away and flee, and they will not get any help from any side. They will be disgraced after defeat.

This foretelling of Holy Qur’aan was fulfilled exactly. In the times of the Companions (may God be pleased with them) of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), the end of the People of the Scripture was like this. They congregated and tried hard for destruction of Islam and Muslims but could not harm. Wherever they faced the Muslims, ran away after being defeated. And at every occasion, Allah Almighty helped the Muslims.
